Welcome to fifth grade!  I'm very excited to be teaching fifth grade at Carpenter Elementary.  This is my 3rd year at Carpenter and my eleventh year working for Ann Arbor Schools.  The Carpenter Staff has welcomed me with open arms and I couldn't be happier to work with this talented group of educators and the community of Carpenter as well.  I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather be :).  

I was born and raised in Williamston, MI, and attended Michigan State University for my teaching degree.  I worked in the business world for 10 years before finding my calling in life, teaching, and here I am.  I've taught in multiple schools in both rural and urban settings before coming to Carpenter.  The students, parents, and community in Ann Arbor have been outstanding!

I'm engaged and my fiancee and I have five children between us.   I have two children of my own Hayden who is 8 years old and Sophia who is 15 years old.  In my free time, I enjoy spending time with the kids, running, working out, reading, watching movies, and vacationing.  I'm looking forward to a very rewarding productive 2022-2023 school year with your student.
